2024-05-08_Dualisms don’t work here
Dualisms don’t work here. If you’re looking for them, they’ve been laid off. We didn’t require their simplifying impulses anymore. “Trees have done us too much harm” (Rhizome). We reject hierarchies. Dualisms don’t work here anymore. Their originators don’t think here anymore. Here is our soil now. We immerse ourselves into our soil. It is us, we are it. There are no dualisms separating us anymore. ‘I’/‘We’ are a worm, a carbon molecule, water flowing through pores, seedlings waiting for the time, not knowing when to walk upwards, the light that does not reach, but lets itself be known anyway, the sound that does not transmit, but moves us anyway. Our soil-selves don’t require dualisms: the murder of movement, to function anymore. Speed travels through us, but not in one direction, not in The Direction (forward forever towards unlimited progress!!!). The directions of our multiple speeds are made during their travels through our timespaces, through our lifeworlds. Who said that things need a beginning?
